Michael Brockers
Michael Seth Brockers (born December 21, 1990) is an American football defensive tackle for the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at LSU. He was considered, by many, to be the best defensive tackle prospect in the 2012 NFL Draft.〔http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1664406〕 He was drafted in the 1st round, 14th overall, by the St. Louis Rams in 2012.
==Early years==
Brockers attended Chávez High School in Houston, Texas, where he played football and competed in track. During his junior season he had 59 tackles and 10 sacks. As a senior, he led Chavez High to the first round of the Texas Class 5A state playoffs, and earned first-team All-region and All-state honors. In track & field, Brockers participated in the shot put and the discus.
Considered a four-star recruit by ''Rivals.com'', he was rated as the No.10 strongside defensive end prospect in the nation.〔https://sports.yahoo.com/lsu/football/recruiting/player-Michael-Brockers-61222〕 He accepted a scholarship offer from LSU over other offers from Texas A&M and Texas Tech.
